I use Scrivener for writing and organising large documents and then move them onto work for proofreading and formatting by others. One of the recurrent problems I have come across is how to get rid of section breaks in the word document.
What happens is you get some text that won't move up to the previous page, which is a symptom of a section break in the document - here is the fix.
You will come across these when you can't move a section up - see here:
So to deal with this:
- Word > Preferences > View > All
- Put the cursor infant of the section break
- Edit > Find > Replace > Section Break
- Manual page break
- Keep hitting replace to cycle through and check each one in document
I hope this is useful and restores some sanity!
